When it comes to makeup, I'm the first to admit that I've never been the full committed type. Despite lagging behind on the latest contour trends, what I won’t compromise on is dramatic peepers and a bold lip. Ideally, my signature look is effortless. Think undone curls, breezy dresses and minimalistic makeup.
To my delight, Brow-Zing wanted to help me up my glam game without the fuss. When they asked me to drop by for a lash extensions makeover, I jumped at the opportunity to see what magic they could perform.
Let me explain the backstory, I've been a committed client of the salons for 4 years. I religiously visit every three weeks and have my brows transformed by their lash and brow stylist, Kellie-Anne. I won't let anyone else touch my arches because she mastered them from day one. And since then thanks to her, I live by the saying, ‘Brows on fleek’.
Knowing that Kellie-Anne is the brow whisperer, I had zero hesitation in letting her turn my lashes from basic to fluttering prettiness.
Stepping through Brow-Zing’s bright pink door in Hawthorne, I awaited the ultimate pamper session. And in my books, the reputable studio is the suburbs best kept secret.
The afternoon of my appointment, I was warmly welcomed by Brow-Zing’s Owner, Judy who offered me warm herbal tea and Ferrero Roches before taking my seat on the plush couch.

Within the minute, Kellie-Anne took me through to the private room and talked me through her recommendation of what lashes would best accentuate my eyes. Thanks to her expertise, we opted for the Classic Full Set valued at $140.
The process took 1.5 hours but time flew as the music played gently in the background. I simply relaxed and let her meticulously apply each lash. Kellie-Anne is a highly qualified and skilled lash stylist; she was so gentle that I nearly drifted off to sleep.
90 minutes later, I opened my eyes and couldn't believe the result. The transformation was more than just sexy, luscious lashes. It was like a mini face lift, I looked more awake, fresher and put together. It was love at first sight!
The process was seamless and effortless and the maintenance is stress free. I brush them morning and night with a spoolie provided by Brow-Zing, and I wash them gently with a foam cleanser every 3-4 days. And to keep my peepers perfect, they reccomend getting them refilled every 2-3 weeks. After the first set is in place, it only takes an hour to refill and costs $70.
I've had so many compliments from friends saying my lashes look amazing. It's a beautifully subtle yet totally dramatic difference. They really do make me feel fabulous inside and out.
