The beginning of a new year always reminds me to shake up my skincare regime and experiment with some new products. I have my go-tos, but every so often a new product brings my skin to life and proves to be a staple until my next discovery.
Over the summer my skin has been say, confused. I’ve been in and out of air conditioning, overindulging in alcohol and consuming a little too much processed foods. I’ve also been sunkissed (burnt) and I do Hot Yoga so I’m in a sauna a couple of times a week which helps to detox but the result is usually breakouts.
To put it in perspective, my skin is excessively oily. I suffer from pimple attacks on the regular and I usually have to pat my skin down with blotching papers twice daily. I cleanse morning and night and use an extensive skincare routine to keep things under control. Even though it all sounds dramatic, I have accepted my skin and I’ve learnt how to manage it. But recently, everything has changed.
