Southbank - located on the southern banks of the Brisbane River, boasting 17 hectares of lush parklands and known for its world-class eateries has welcomed a new space to their cultural destination.

If you're a beer lover - and enjoy city views and soulful foods, then you'll probably be heading to our new favourite spot this weekend, Soutbank Beer Garden.

It's a first of its kind for inner city Brisbane where you can harness the summer breeze, sip on a cool drink of your choice and enjoy the city sights.

And the view can get better, all you have to do is head on upstairs to the River Room where the space boasts 180 degree river views from two spacious decks, with a bird’s eye view of South Bank’s beach.

The venue’s owner, Bevan Bickle, hopes to provide locals with the sights, smells and tastes of the South Bank Parkland’s relaxed surrounds.

Mr. Bickle, whose repertoire of successful hospitality ventures includes, South Bank Surf Club, Family Nightclub, Birdee’s and Bunk Backpackers, plans to integrate the space for dining, drinking, functions and events.

“We all have great memories of time spent with a beer by the beach and we’re excited to introduce that atmosphere to Brisbane. We wanted to design a relaxed venue suitable for any occasion, whether it’s a special celebration, a corporate function, afternoon drinks or all day dining.”

With 14 beers on tap, 2 cider options, 20 bottled craft beers and the ultimate breakfast cocktail menu - it's easy indulging at its finest.

Oh, and the menu includes light bites along with substantial soul foods made using fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce.
