Gwen Stefani's new single has flown under the radar

Gwen Stefani’s solo career has had a wobbly comeback with “Baby Don’t Lie” and “Spark The Fire” flopping spectacularly on the charts. Last year the singer had a glimpse of success with the ever so emotional song, “Used To Love You” which broke hearts worldwide.

With the release of her third studio album “This Is What The Truth Feels Like” on March 18; Stefani has premiered her new single and let us say she’s ready to mend those hearts back together.

“Make Me Like You” is a sticky but sweet disco-pop track that’s about falling in love again and being unsure about your feelings after a break up. “Why'd you have to go and make me like you? Yeah this is a feeling I'm not used to. Why'd you have to go and make me like you? I'm so mad at you cause now you got me missing you”.

It’s a confessional about falling for Blake Shelton. The love-struck couple exchanged tweets about the song yesterday with the songstress tweeting “I hope you like the song” with a wink face emoji. If that’s not adorable then I don’t know what is.

With an infectious hook and a groovy beat your feet will start moving and your body will start dancing and you won’t even be able to deny that this song is a TUNE. It has a bit of a throwback to old Gwen with a super pop Kylie Minogue vibe thrown in the mix to catch you off guard. This is the type of song from Gwen Stefani that we've been waiting for - it’s playful, catchy and sickeningly cute. Though I’m a bit worried that she has lost her impact because the track has already flown under the radar.
