Her music is described as "somewhere between Indie and Celtic infused pop" with influences from her Japanese and Maltese heritages.
"I love pop. I grew up listening to Take 40 and love Kimbra, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Kate Miller-Heidke. It's quite an eclectic mix," Kiyomi said.
"I like their music because its something a bit different."
Kiyomi took part in The Voice early in 2013 and advanced to the top 8 under Team Joel.
"I was so proud of where I was and how far I had gone," she said.
"It was definitely a cool experience."
Kiyomi's somewhat quirky and eclectic stage presence has transferred to her wardrobe. Combine edgy and on trend designers with vintage pieces and op-shop treasures to create the ultimate chic yet relaxed look.
"I love to go op-shopping. I come home with all kinds of accessories, jewellery, badges, hair pieces and sunglasses. It's good fun," she said.
"I wear lots of Alice McCall pieces, I like the colours mostly and sometimes wear them when [I'm] on stage performing."
"Before, I didn't really know that much about designers and labels but The Voice really opened my eyes to it."
Kiyomi is currently writing and recording her second EP.
"I'm really focusing on song writing at the moment and planning a trip to Los Angeles to work with a bunch of different writers."
With high stakes in both the fashion and music industries, this artist is one to watch. Look out for her next creative venture!
