Trend Report: Futuristic Silhouettes

Rosie Hungington-Whiteley was the lady in head-to-toe red front row and the epitome of fierce while Burberry Porsum was right on trend with a selection of almost -latex and silk suits. Armani Exchange is also bang on trend with their royal blue leather pieces. Suits are seen in wool, linen and silk and do much for flattering figures!

Trousers are cropped just so, heels are soaring, blouses are crisp, pleats are daring and jackets match to tee. Even hot pants are passing as suits this season, just add a jacket, some luxe accessories and a tight waist to take the look from casual to in control. Gucci channelled a snake skin print version on the Spring\ Summer 2013 runway but we won't spoil the Louis Vuitton suiting surprise of Fashion Week 2013. That's something to discover yourselves! Hint: it's got yellow and squares. Enough said. A collection miles from the classic crisp whites of the Celine over coats or quilted, beaded, lacquered, leather Balmain blazers!

Uneven hemlines are presenting themselves alongside everything from skirts to jackets and create a strong modern image. While the overdone "mullet skirt" (yuk) is nowhere to be seen, angles are spotted on side seams and architectural layers, injecting colour and excitement into otherwise bland outfits. A carefully-placed angled hemline can take a play-it-safe skirt to daring new heights while keeping the piece occasion appropriate. Throw in some brocade, beads and bling for a much –needed feminine touch.

This trend in nothing short of fierce; can you handle it?
