Brisbane’s most popular fashion event is nearly here. Make sure to set the dates aside in your calendar because no fashion lover will want to miss this.
August’s four days of fashion will parade Queensland’s best designers and the leading names in Australian fashion. Held at the Old Government House, designers will be showcasing their Spring/Summer Collections.
Kicking off the festival will be the Pacific Fair Show on the 28th of August. As the newest festival partner, Pacific Fair will be showcasing some of your favourite luxury brands. Designers include Aje, Alice McCall, Dion Lee, David Jones, Ginger & Smart, INCU, Maje, Manning Cartell, Megan Park, and Sandro Paris.
Tuesday the 29th of August is all about the future of fashion. The NEXT Hotel Next Gen Group Show will feature Queensland up and coming talent. Designs will be shown from QUT Fashion, Megan Cannings Designs, Bold, Moreno Marcos, Annalisse Designs, Platinum Plus, Mara Swim, Lydia James, Black and Bling, Brisbane School of Fashion, TAFE Queensland Brisbane and Isabelle Quinn. If you want to get ahead of the fashion pack then this is the show to attend.
Of course the fun doesn’t end there. Wednesday the 30th of August will play host to the McKinney’s Jewellers Group Show. The prestigious jeweller will dazzle audience members with sparkle by adorning all of the day’s collections with jewels. The designers include White Label Noba, Naudic Style, Hunt + Kelly, Paul Hunt ‘Cruise’, Sacha Drake, Ella Moda, Pia du Pradal, The Irma J Smith House of Fashion, Jack Sullivan, Bertossi Brides and Bora.
Finally, wrapping the festivities will be the final showcase from the festival’s principle partner, Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes-Benz Group Show will be held on Thursday the 31st and will provide a spectacular show illustrating the leading designers in Australia. Look upon the likes of Camilla, Aqua Blu Australia, Chelsea De Luca, Lisa Brown, George Wu, Urbbana, Paul Hunt, Dion Lee, Ginger & Smart, and Manning Cartell. This runway is not one to be missed.
The ever popular Fashion Bar will be the stylish space to be seen both pre and post-show. Mingle and awe over the stunning collections with a glass of sparkling in your hand.
