'Reflections' is all about architectural silhouettes, structure, geometric shapes and pencil cuts and is inspired by the luminosity of glass and diamond, quite literally reflecting principal trends in fashion and style alongside the concept of 'new fashion'.
"We're all for coming up with our own prints," James said.
"The pieces are quite young and feature some fitted and some flowing. It's very much a day to night collection."
James said the collection is all about taking risks with new trends and fashion styles and influences in fashion.
"We're doing a bit of both working with existing and prominent fashion trends and adding our own little twist with things that haven't been seen before. It's worth taking a risk with ideas and just seeing how the audience takes it," she said.
James takes inspiration from a whole host of Australian designers including Alice McCall, Dion Lee and Shakuhachi.
"Alice McCall's design aesthetic is very quirky and different to anything else. We have a very similar style I think. She knows how to package it right." she said.
"I just like Australian designers!"
On the future of Sinead James, James said she hopes for the label to expand into more stockists and to create more of a presence within the fashion industry.
"We're big on summer but I hope to be able to do a collection for every season. It's a really exciting time," she said.
Sinead James: The Label will debut the Spring Summer 2013/ 14 collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival , beginning August 25.
