Getting your wardrobe Spring ready| Cull-a-thon

The "I'll lose weight to fit this" item you have had since 2009, the ball dress you wore once and have no use for, or the favourite pair of jeans that you just can't let go of but are in serious need of repair, the answer is no. They are just taking up space!

Rule 2: While you're deciding which items to keep or flog ask yourself, "would I buy this if I was out shopping right now?" Do you still love it? Is this trend a part of your style? Is it an essential part of your wardrobe? Does it go with other things in my wardrobe? If not, then out it goes. And the reason why relates to the last rule.

Rule 3: Your wardrobe can be so much more than just functional items of clothing you cover your body with. Your clothing can be everyday artwork that reflects to the world who you are, or who you want to be. Fashion is fun and full of endless options so when you are deciding what you want to keep in your wardrobe, decide if that piece is a symbol of your fashion style.

Once you have collected your 'no-pile', donate it to your local charity. After all, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Participating in the recycling culture and giving to those who need them most will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Or, you could make some extra cash and sell your items on Gum Tree or Closetdrop.com. With the extra dollars and all the space you now have in your wardrobe, there is plenty of room for some new trends to treat yourself after all your hard culling!
