Yes, you read that right. General Pants Co. sent 22 models down a giant 50 metre inflatable water slide [runway] in front of a crowd of approximately 250 of Sydney's most recognisable faces.
For the first time in the brands history, GP launched swimwear from twelve Australian brands including NLP, Stussy, One Teaspoon, Anna & Boy, B.BAM (Bambi Northwood
Blyth's exclusive range), Insight, Rollas and Evil Twin. The show was curated by style icon and General Pants very own Design Director Pip Edwards and also featured an assortment of men's board shorts, from brands like Arvust, Vanishing Elephant, Santa Cruz, Stussy and many more.
Guests enjoyed custom designed cocktails by Smirnoff and DJ duo Jam Xpress provided the tunes for the Runway show. MAC created a makeup look that tied in perfectly with the wet and wild theme of the show. GoPros were strapped to the models to create a video that gives a taste of what it was like to ride the slide.
General Pants Co. will officially launch swimwear to consumers on Tuesday 16 September with windows in-stores across the country and a dedicated swimwear hub on their e-commerce site featuring the full range of swimwear, styling tips, music and more. General Pants Co. is also offering consumer the chance to win a trip for two including return flights to the iconic Atlantis the Palm in Dubai where the winner will stay in luxury and visit one of the world's top waterparks with giant waterslides.
