The highly anticipated Brisbane Arcade Spring Flower Show, now in it's fourth year, will launch on Thursday, 31st August with a whimsical runway show under the stars in the ever-so-popular, Queen Street Mall. What will follow will be a glamorous cocktail party inside the iconic shopping arcade as guests witness the gorgeous blooms of the stunning flower installation.
Designs by 2020 Optical, Darb Couture, Irma J Smith House of Fashion, Keri Craig Emporium, Pia du Pradal, Stephen Dibb Jewellery, Tengdahl Australia along with Robert White Jewellers will present their spring collections during an exotic night of flowers, fashion and glamour.
To abide to this year's 'Spring Jungle' theme, ferns and vines including 300 Kiwi vines and lush glossy green over-sized leaves including monstera and philodendron leaves will be used to create the jungle backdrop. The flowers on show will include gladioli, carnations, chrysanthemums, Oriental and Asiatic Lillis and orchids from Vietnam, Singapore and across Australia.
The ‘Spring Jungle’ will once again be designed and created by the FIG Flowers team of Kenmore (Brisbane) with creative direction by Lynn and Peter Jacobsen – the same team who delivered the much acclaimed ‘Enchanted Forest’ Spring Flower Show for Brisbane Arcade in 2016 including the adored giant moss and flower bunny.
Brisbane Arcade Marketing Manager, Andra Bite says the annual Spring Flower Show is a ‘must see’ Spring activity for Brisbane residents and visitors.
“Brisbane Arcade is a magical and special place to visit all year round but during our Spring Flower Show – the sensory experience of the beautiful Arcade transformed into a floral wonderland is something very special,” Ms Bite said.
What is sure to steal the spotlight will be the centrepiece flower installation that stars a giant 2.5 metre toucan complete with the bird's hallmark colourful bill.
