Age has made Women Invisible | The 50 Book

I was introduced to The 50 Book a little while ago and at the beginning I felt as if it was completely irrelevant to me. I am still in my twenties and the last thing on my mind is the dreaded number, fifty.

To my surprise, this book is more about the celebration of a woman's journey rather than her age.

The media heavily portrays an image of being young, gorgeous and flawless, but where are the real women?

Did you know that there is just shy of 1 million women in Australia between the ages of 50 and 55, and a further 3000 turning 50 every week, but where are they? - not in our newspapers, not on our TV screens, not in our workplace ... apparently missing-in-action or invisible after 50.

What is it like being 50? Well, The 50 Book peels back the layers of how it feels, revealing the naked truth behind aging for women in Australia today.

Following 50 key words, real women provide real answers, which will move and inspire you. This book will make you want to celebrate this milestone age, for yourself, a friend, your mum or other loved ones.
