Serena Williams has just served sassy-realness to a male reporter who stated Williams didn’t smile enough during the press conference after William’s win against sister and BFF, Venus, at Flushing Meadows.
“You just won a match, normally you smile when you win. You come in here, you laugh. What happens tonight? Is it because you beat Venus or because you're thinking about what is going on next? What's wrong?" said the reporter, obviously aiming the ball outside of the court.
Williams, renown for not sugar coating, hit back making sure that the reporter knew she wasn’t about to smile for anybody.
"It's 11:30. To be perfectly honest with you, I don't want to be here,” Williams began.
“I just want to be in bed right now and I have to wake up early to practice and I don't want to answer any of these questions. And you keep asking me the same questions. It's not really ... you're not making it super enjoyable," finished Williams with a sassy chuckle.
If any reporters were asleep in the room, they’d be sure to be awake to witness that burn.
30 Love to Williams.
