Dandruff is one of those things that creeps up on you when you least expect it. We know that it can be embarrassing (and make you feel utterly self-conscious), but we also know how to turn a terrible situation into a great one! Price Attack have shared their top tips on how to avoid and fix the dandruff that haunts your scalp.
1. Suit your shampoo
The feeling of fresh, clean hair after a good shampoo and condition is marvelous. But the feeling can be easily washed away (literally!) if dandruff remains.
Anti-dandruff shampoo is the perfect way to combat the embarrassing flakes that fall from your scalp, and can be even more perfect if you suit the shampoo to your hair! Price Attack has a range of anti-dandruff shampoos that cater to all sorts of hair, so find the right one in-stores or online to combat the condition.
2. Brush, brush, brush
One of the simpler ways to say adios to dandruff is brushing your hair. Regularly brushing or combing your hair reduces the risk of dandruff as it aids the natural condition of shedding your skin (even on your scalp).
It’s time to swish those flakes away by combining the perfect round brush and a daily hair-brushing routine!
3. Cold climates
It’s no secret that people with dry skin are more likely to get dandruff, but if you live or work in cold climates, then your chances of dandruff are even more likely. Cold air causes your skin to dry out and as a result, lack the natural rejuvenating oils your skin produces.
If this is the case for you, we recommend using the AG Moisture Mask which is an intense moisturizer for the hair and scalp. The AG Moisture Mask is the perfect product to cure a dry, itchy scalp, as the hydrating ingredients ensure a long-lasting moisturising treatment.
4. Add to your diet
This isn’t the kind of diet your brain wanders to – and we promise you won’t have to get rid of your cheeky chocolate or donut obsession!
Just adding a little more zinc, vitamin B and natural fats to your diet via an increased meat and milk product intake will help reduce the risk of an irritated and flaky scalp.
Wave goodbye to that horrid dandruff and say hello to a silky scalp and head of hair! We hope these tips have given you a heads up, but if things are getting really bad in the dandruff department, we recommend seeking expert advice from dermatologists or your local hair dresser.
