4 Simple tips to help overcome stress

For when life is less “hot” and more “hot mess”

Life is busy, and every girlboss can sometimes find herself feeling stressed. But instead of succumbing and becoming a ball of anxiety under the covers, follow our tips and tricks for surviving when the stress starts creeping in.

Make a plan

Splashed too much cash on designer goodies this month? Sit down and plan all your expenses and work out what you’ll have left over. If it’s something else stressing you out, make a plan anyway. You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel once you’ve mapped out a strategy for dealing with it.

Clear your mind and boost your endorphins by going for a walk or run. The gym is great, but out in the fresh air is also a fabulous way to relieve stress and help you to feel like you can tackle anything.

Pamper yourself

Soak in a bubble bath, treat your face to a luxurious face mask, or go for a mani-pedi. Give yourself a good pampering and you’ll feel calm and refreshed in no time!

Phone a friend

Call your mum, dad, other family member, or a friend. Talk on the phone, or go for coffee, but have a vent to someone you trust who can give you great advice and help you to figure out what to do next. That’s what your loved ones are in your life for! Share each other’s loads and your stress will always be easier to handle.
