Pacific Fair celebrates official opening in style
Pacific Fair, Queensland’s newest and largest fashion destination, celebrated its official launch August 31, 2016 as over 600 media, celebrities and VIPs filled the centre to mark the completion of the $670 million redevelopment.
A stunning performance by Queensland National Ballet students, choreographed by internationally acclaimed choreographer Michael Boyd, kicked off official speeches by AMP Capital CEO Adam Tindall and City of Gold Coast Mayor, Tom Tate, and the ribbon cutting by AMP CEO Craig Meller and Mayor Tom Tate.
Media guests, retailers, industry representatives and celebrities were treated to gourmet food stations and a spectacular fireworks display that lit up the centres super-roof, topped off by the release of glitter cannons into the centre.
The Koi Boys, who shot to fame on the recent series of Channel 9’s The Voice, performed for the crowd, while Co-Founder of P.E NATION and Design Director of General Pants, Pip Edwards, performed a rare DJ set alongside DJ Sam Francisco.
