We have the wrap up on the emerging designers who grabbed our attention from the NEXT Hotel Next Gen Group Show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane 2017.

Last night at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane, our city's emerging designers took the runway by storm proving that our industry's future is in safe hands.

The NEXT Hotel Next Gen Group Show was a sold out event at the historic Old Government House. Friends, family and fashion lovers gathered together to witness the talent from Queensland’s brightest and best up-and-coming designers.

Show goers were treated to the diverse and creative visions of Isabelle Quinn, QUT Fashion, Mara Swim, Annalisse Designs, Bold, Megan Cannings Designs, Black and Bling, Brisbane School of Fashion, Lydia James, Moreno Marcos, Platinum Plus, TAFE Queensland Brisbane and Wilde Willow.

We have the wrap up on our top 5 stand-out collections.

Isabelle Quinn

We were lucky enough to catch up with Isabelle Quinn before her Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane showcase. She revealed that her collection would clash in a harmonious way while being 'super fun, wearable and whimsical', and that it was.

Lace ups, ruffles and a mixture of soft and strong fabrics made their way down the runway. The muted colour palette played against a deep sapphire blue featuring cleverly placed stars throughout the collection.

Annalisse Designs

There were plenty of looks to love from Annalisse Designs' new season collection. She nailed the trends and the Queensland spirit in her range. Casual meets chic would best describe her pieces. Hot pink, pastel pink, cobalt and quirky prints were the main elements that grabbed our attention. Somewhat transeasonal and ageless this collection will appeal to the young and mature.

Mara Swim

Though last night was a little chilly, Mara Swim decided to heat things up with their on-fire collection of swimsuits. The designers told us that their designs were inspired by the want to 'join luxury with necessity.'

Pushing the boundaries with a stylish sun-safe range, each piece is performance ready.

Moreno Marcos

Moreno Marcos is the name you need to know. This incredible designer brought drama to the runway, and it was spectacular. Each look left the audience in awe. In particular, the red number with the most incredible amount of tule and fringing stole the show.

This designer is going places and we can't wait to see more!

Wilde Willow

Brisbane loves Wilde Willow. Wearable, effortless and relaxed, their latest collection gave a nod to the 70s with flared bell bottom pants, while their off-the-shoulder ruffled dresses gave us bohemian vibes.

This free spirited collection closed the show and left guests dreaming of spring summer 2017.
