There is something so different about Saffron Hair Lounge. From the moment I entered what felt like a secret doorway, to the warm welcome at the front desk, to looking around at the space, all I could think was that it felt like home.
At first when I heard about Saffron Hair Lounge I wasn’t too certain what to expect. I was a little bit confused about why a hair salon would be called a lounge, but it wasn’t too long until I completely understood the reason.
Anya Kernke the owner of Saffron Hair Lounge has added her homely touches all around the space. The Hair Lounge completely decorated and designed by Anya, has such character and hints of the inspiring and lovely personality of Kernke. It is visually inspiring with natural light, polished floor boards and elongated white walls. There seems to be a New York Loft crossed with a Rustic French feel throughout the lounge.
There were so many added touches that made me fall in love with the space more and more. There was a gorgeous Beverage Menu, a vintage bird cage with an orange canary fluttering around inside and little fresh flowers all create that home away from home feel.
I sat down in the comfortable chair and hair stylist, Anya began the stress free consultation process. She began by examining my hair, feeling the texture and observing the length. She asked me if I had preference with cut and colour, then provided her professional advice.
I viewed the colour card and we agreed on a perfect colour choice for my hair. While Anya was applying the colour, she recommended products that would be best to compliment and improve the condition of my hair.
Once the colour was ready to be rinsed off, we went to the basin and I sat in the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in. Not only was the chair comfortable, but, it reclined, and it massages! After the colour was rinsed, I experienced the best head massage. I thought it was nearly over and then there was more. A true pamper treatment called ‘Indulgence’ which includes an extended relaxing scalp massage, hot towel and aromatherapy steam! I was on cloud 9! I was so close to falling asleep!
It was now time to have a ‘Style Cut and Blowdry’. I really loved the colour of my hair. It complimented and suited my complexion.
After the blowdry Anya explained to me the best temperature to use when straightening my hair with a hair straightener. Then she started cutting and styling my hair.
There were two words that just kept floating around my head during the whole experience, ‘Relaxation & Comfort.’
I was so comfortable and relaxed. There is no better word than to call this hair salon a ‘Hair Lounge’.
The result of my hair was so fantastic and the experience on top of that made me want to book another appointment straight away! Even if it was just for the scalp massage!
I personally think I have found myself a new hair stylist and I am booking an appointment for my mum as soon as possible to experience the VIP treatment that I experienced.
Anya Kernke works and builds a very professional relationship with her cliental. When you make an appointment, it will just be you and your hair stylist. You become the VIP.
